Challenges/Needs:
INABILITY TO RESPOND AND SUBMIT COMPETITIVE BID FOR THE RFQ
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
On numerous occasions, despite responding to Requests for Quotations (RFQs), the co-operative has struggled to secure contracts. This has mainly been due to their inability to prepare competitive quotations and a lack of knowledge and skills in pricing and completing bid documents. As a result, they repeatedly lost out on lucrative business opportunities that could have significantly contributed to their growth and sustainability.
Recognising these challenges, Sedfa Kuruman Branch together with SASSA engaged with the co-operative to assess their needs. It was established that one of the critical barriers hindering their success was their limited capacity to accurately price and submit complete tender documents.

Outcome Details:
As a direct result of this training, Bomme Rea Itirela Primary Co-operative secured a contract to manufacture sixty (60) school uniform units for both boys and girls, with a total value of R239,400.00. This achievement not only boosted their confidence but also marked a significant milestone in their business growth and capacity to participate in future tender opportunities.
