The company was founded and registered in 2018 by co-directors Mr. Nelson Daniel Tlou and Mr. Thabo Isaac Yende, who each hold equal ownership in the business. Initially, the company focused on tapping into the tender and supply sector and successfully secured contracts with several local corporate clients, including power generation companies.
Recognizing the limitations of relying solely on the tendering space, the directors diversified their business by launching an internet café division under Mbhele & Komane Group (Pty) Ltd. The business recently strengthened its financial base by securing a 36-month contract with Samancor (Middelburg Operations) to supply water-bowser equipment.
Currently, the internet café is based in Newtown, a newly developed township in Mhluzi (Middelburg), under Steve Tshwete Local Municipality.

Mbhele & Komane Group was onboarded as a SEDFA client on May 26, 2024, after approaching the SEDFA Nkangala branch for small business development support. Using the Small Business Assessment Tool (SBAT), the following challenge was identified:
1. Access to Funding.
The business required capital to acquire a container from which to operate its new internet café branch in Newtown.
