In 2024, Client approached Seda Thabo Mofutsanyana Branch seeking business development support services in order to grow and increase sales. The business advisor performed a diagnostic analysis using the Critical Planning Exercise tool (CPE) to determine the business shortcomings and possible remedial interventions to support the business growth. The assessment report revealed the following challenges that needed urgent attention:
• Access to funding to purchase required equipment and machinery to improve current business operations.
• The outdated equipment (tablets) resulted in regular breakdowns placing the business at risk of losing clients and income.
Intervention Insights and Results
Intervention Details:
Mr Nkomo was assisted with an application for the Asset Assist program to access funding and purchase required machinery and equipment that will improve the current operational processes. The funding application has been approved and the disbursement of funds to acquire the required machinery is in progress.
Outcome Details:
• The turnover of the business increased by approximately 132% from R238 724 in the 2023/24 financial year to R315 008 in the 2024/25 financial year.
• Employment has grown by 250% from two (2023/24) to five (2024/2025) staff members.
